
The Sangguniang Bayan of Lopez, Quezon formally acknowledged the outstanding performance of March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) passers through Resolution Nos. 2026-274 and 2026-275 during its 41st Regular Session held on May 20, 2026.
The resolutions celebrated the accomplishments of graduates from various higher education institutions, including Philippine Normal University South Luzon (PNUSL), for bringing honor and distinction to the Municipality of Lopez.
In particular, Resolution No. 2026-275 highlighted PNUSL’s remarkable achievement as it ranked Top 8 nationwide among Top Performing Schools in the Secondary Level category (50–99 examinees), attaining an impressive 97.89% passing rate among first-time takers in the March 2026 LEPT.
In addition to the institutional recognition, the Sangguniang Bayan also honored outstanding PNUSL graduates for their remarkable performance in the March 2026 LEPT –Ms. Raquel D. Silaya, received recognition for ranking Top 3 with an outstanding rating of 94.40%. Elementary Level and Mr. John David R. Argente, was commended for ranking Top 8 with an impressive rating of 93.20%. Likewise, the resolutions noted that their achievements brought great honor, distinction, and pride to the Municipality of Lopez.
This recognition underscores PNUSL’s steadfast commitment to academic excellence and quality teacher education. The award was received by campus officials led by Dr. Amor F. Loniza, Executive Director and Provost, together with Dr. Roel V. Avila, Dean for Academics and the Hub, Engr. Dandy V. Surio, Director for Administration, Finance and Planning, and Prof. Arron Jed Y. Tumbali, Director for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance and Development. The honor likewise reflects the collective dedication of the university’s administrators, faculty members, staff, and students in producing competent and values-driven educators.
