Philippine Normal University Visayas garnered multiple recognitions at the 2nd Commission on Higher Education – Negros Island Region (CHED-NIR) Regional Quality Awards on May 26 at STI West Negros University.

PNUV received the award for Excellence in Research for its outstanding commitment to producing research publications; the Outstanding Board Performance Award for ranking 2nd in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LEPT) – Secondary Level; and International Ranking Recognition Awards for its exceptional achievements and contributions in several areas, such as instruction, research, community extension, and other vital sectors.

Several notable figures attended to claim these recognitions, including the Executive Director and Provost, Dr. Ralger D. Jocson Jr. Alongside him were Dir. June Faith G. Gumban, Director for Administration, Finance, and Planning; Dr. Richelle A. Delmo, Head of the Student Affairs and Services Unit; Dr. Maria Fatima Perales-Dolendo, Head of the Extension, Alumni, Linkages, and Internationalization Unit; and Asst. Prof. Paul S. Magbanua, Head of the Quality Assurance Management Unit.
