
The Philippine Normal University-North Luzon (PNU-NL) proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Stephen Marc Talaver Lontoc, a fourth-year BECEd student, who secured third place in the Solo Violin category at the prestigious PASUC National Culture and the Arts Festival on April 10, 2026, at the Cultural Center of West Visayas State University.
Representing Region II, Stephen delivered a captivating performance of “Iduyan Mo” by Ryan Cayabyab. He was trained and prepared by his coach and accompanist, Prof. John Jerry Francisco. Stephen’s performance stood out among the country’s finest during this national gathering of student artists from state universities and colleges, which showcases excellence in culture and the arts.
PNU-NL also proudly recognizes other student artists who represented Region II and made it to the national stage of the PASUC National Culture and the Arts Festival 2026. Jan Dexter Taguibao and Ernie Baterna showcased their exceptional talent in the Vocal Duet competition, bringing pride and honor to the university through their harmony, passion, and dedication to music.
Members of Teatro Paddarafung likewise earned recognition as national qualifiers in the Short and Sweet Play-Dialogue category. The group includes Jhon Ace De Vera, Daryl Fermin, Rejean Agsunod, Angel Mae Medina, Angel Lyka Hina, and Arjelyn Agustin, while Althea Jean Dayag qualified in the Oration category.
Guided by their coach, Prof. John A. Furuc, these achievements reflect the unwavering commitment, creativity, and excellence of PNU-NL student artists in the field of culture and the arts.
