Fourteen Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED) students from Philippine Normal University (PNU) successfully participated in the PNU International Experiential Learning Program (Practice Teaching) in Indonesia, gaining valuable international exposure through a teaching and learning experience at Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) in Jakarta.

The program provided the PNU student delegates with an opportunity to immerse themselves in an international educational setting while strengthening their teaching competencies and broadening their understanding of diverse approaches to education. Through their participation in academic activities and cultural exchanges, the students experienced firsthand the value of learning beyond the classroom and engaging with an international community.

The experiential learning program also served as a platform for the students to develop greater confidence, adaptability, and cultural awareness—essential qualities in preparing future educators for increasingly diverse and globalized learning environments. Their experience in Jakarta allowed them to exchange insights, appreciate Indonesia’s educational and cultural context, and further develop their perspectives as future globally competent teachers.

PNU commends the 14 BECED students for their dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm throughout this international experiential learning program. Their participation reflects the University’s continuing commitment to providing students with meaningful opportunities for international exposure, cultural exchange, and professional growth.
