
The Kasetsart University Faculty of Education recently conducted an academic visit to the Philippines, highlighted by a seminar on Sustainable Education for Local Development. Held at Philippine Normal University on January 20, 2025, the event underscored cross-border collaboration in advancing sustainable education. It was organized by the College of Advanced Studies, AsTEN Secretariat, and Linkages and International Office.
The seminar opened with remarks from Dr. Antriman V. Orleans, Dean of the College of Advanced Studies, followed by an introduction by Asst. Prof. John Carlo M. Ramos, Executive Director of AsTEN.
Thai graduate students from Kasetsart University led key discussions on topics such as Empowering Communities Through Local Curriculum, Sustainable Education: From Policy to Practice, and Innovative Practices in Area-Based Education.
Each session concluded with an open forum, encouraging discussions on education’s role in sustainability and equity. Dr. Udomluk Koolsriroj, Dean of Kasetsart University’s Faculty of Education, delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of global collaboration in addressing educational challenges.
The visit also included a knowledge-sharing activity at De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, where participants exchanged best practices in integrating sustainable education with their local counterparts.
