In celebration of the 125th Founding Anniversary of Philippine Normal University (PNU), PNU North Luzon brought together local and international traditions through “PASUNDAYAG: A Cultural Showcase” on September 2, 2026, at the University Gymnasium. The vibrant celebration featured performances from the university’s Danggayan Cultural Group, the PNUNL Kalibnusan Chorale, and the Saniwend Rondalla, highlighting the artistic talents and rich cultural heritage of the PNU North Luzon community.
Adding an international dimension to the festivities, pre-service teachers from Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) in Indonesia presented a special cultural performance. This guest feature gave the PNU North Luzon community a firsthand glimpse into Indonesian artistic expression. Beyond entertainment, their participation underscored the value of cultural exchange in strengthening international linkages and creating meaningful opportunities for future educators to learn from cultures beyond their own.
The program formally opened with a message from Dr. Clemente M. Aguinaldo, Jr., Dean for Academics and the Hub, and concluded with remarks from Prof. Virgilio F. Reyes, Jr. of the Extension, Alumni, Linkages, and Internationalization Unit. Ultimately, PASUNDAYAG served as more than just a showcase of performances; it provided a dynamic venue for the university community and its international guests to share traditions, appreciate cultural diversity, and build lasting connections. Through the event, PNU North Luzon celebrated not only the university’s long-standing legacy in teacher education but also the diverse cultures that continue to shape its global community.
