Philippine Normal University Visayas (PNU-V) welcomed representatives from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), Indonesia, for a three-day official visit from July 30 to August 1, 2026. Led by Vice Dean Dr. Iqbal and Dr. Fikri, the visit reinforced the two institutions’ commitment to international collaboration in teacher education through academic exchange, research, and cultural engagement.

The visit commenced with a reunion between the UNY delegates and PNU Visayas Social Studies students who participated in the International Experiential Learning Program (IELP) in Indonesia in February 2026. The gathering provided an opportunity for both parties to reconnect, reflect on their shared academic experiences, and discuss future initiatives that will further expand international learning opportunities for students and faculty.

Academic engagements continued on the second day through professional sharing sessions and collaboration meetings, where representatives from both institutions explored opportunities for student mobility, faculty exchange, and joint research. The delegates also joined the PNU Visayas community in its Torch Ceremony, symbolizing their shared mission of developing globally competent and values-driven educators.
