
Prof. Apolonio P. Espiritu Jr. was honored with the Alagad ng Sining 2026 Award during the Search for the Most Outstanding Artists of Santiago City, held in Isabela on March 29 in celebration of Arts Month.
The recognition was given to Prof. Espiritu for his remarkable contributions to the arts and his dedication to promoting culture, creativity, and the preservation of Filipino heritage. The event gathered artists, educators, cultural advocates, and local officials to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the artistic field.
“Lubos po akong nagpapasalamat sa pagkilalang ito. Ang parangal na ito ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon upang ipagpatuloy ko ang pangangalaga, pagsasaliksik, at pagpapalaganap ng ating sining at kulturang Pilipino para sa susunod na henerasyon,” Prof. Espiritu said.
Colleagues and fellow artists described Prof. Espiritu as a passionate and dedicated artist who continuously supports artistic development and cultural appreciation in Santiago City. The award also highlighted his commitment to inspiring aspiring artists and preserving the value of the arts in the community.
