
The Philippine Normal University (PNU) and Bangbowitthayakhom School (BBW) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 21, 2022 at the Maceda Building of PNU Manila.

The delegates from the Bangbowitthayakhom School was led by their School Director, Mr. Sa-ngad Prawut. He was joined by other school administrators and department heads: Mr. Wiboon Chaikhuenkhan, Asst. Director for Academic Affairs; Mr. Pirom Konglae, Asst. Director for Student Affairs & Personnel; Ms. Thanyawadee Phanomkhet , Head of English & Mini-English Program (EP/MEP) & Proponent of the International Linakges; Mrs. Naruemon Soonthong, Head of English for Integrated Studies (EIS) Program; Ms. Patchara Wichian, Head of Science & Math Program; Ms. Siriya Songkittikun, Head of Chinese Program; Ms. Saifon Tourung, Head of Bang Bo Diamond Program; Ms. Yotaka Cheencharoen, English Teacher; and Mr. Reydante M. Olavidez, Foreign Teacher.

Dr. Jennie V. Jocson, PNU Vice President for Academics, officially welcomed the guests. She was joined by Mr. Bryan C. Dayuta, OIC Director of the Linkages and International Office (LIO) and Director of the Alumni Relations and Services Office (ARSO), and Dr. Darryl Roy T. Montebon, Director, Institute of Teaching and Learning.

Mr. Dayuta highlighted the development of academic and educational cooperation on the basis of equality and reciprocity, and to promote relations and mutual understanding between the two institutions. This include the exchange of academic and administrative staff, teachers, and students, extension of students’ learning opportunities, and other activities that the two institutions will agree upon on separate agreements.

For the initial discussion and collaboration planning, Dr. Darryl Roy T. Montebon started his presentation of the Institute of Teaching Learning (ITL) with a short video presentation of PNU’s Experiential Learning Program which was followed by the presentation of the international programs of ITL, such as practice teaching exchange programs and teacher training programs. He also shared about the previous exchange programs with another Thai school to let them know that we are well-versed with exchange programs. The discussion focused on the possible terms and conditions on how the two institutions can go about the exchange programs in the future.
