stoneErlinda “Linda” Reyes Stone’s journey from a teacher in the Philippines to a trailblazing entrepreneur in the United States showcases the transformative power of education and resilience. A graduate of Philippine Normal College with a degree in Elementary Education, Linda began her career in teaching before migrating to the U.S. in 1968. There, she pursued further education, worked in corporate America, and eventually founded APR Consulting, Inc. in 1980. What started as a modest IT staffing firm grew under her leadership into a nationally recognized company, navigating major economic and technological shifts while empowering thousands of professionals.

Linda’s battle with breast cancer became a pivotal moment. During treatment, she saw firsthand the healthcare staffing crisis and founded 24-Hour Medical Staffing Services, LLC (24HrMed) in 2000 to supply much-needed healthcare workers. Recognizing broader market needs, she also lHer entrepreneurial drive extended to the Philippines, where she established 24-Hour HR Process Outsourcing Services, Inc. (24HRPO) to support her U.S.-based companies and create local jobs. This global approach highlights Linda’s commitment to bridging resources across borders.

Beyond business, Linda is a passionate advocate for education and community development. She supports rehabilitation centers for young offenders in Bacolod and Cavite, provides scholarships for underprivileged students in Manila, and raises funds annually for breast cancer research at the City of Hope in California. Drawing from her teaching background, she mentors students and small business owners, helping them navigate their careers and grow their venturLinda’s connection to her alma mater, Philippine Normal University, remains strong. In 2024, she and her PNU Batch ‘66 classmates donated six gazebos to the campus, with Linda personally contributing four more and an endowment of PhP 1,000,000. Their reunion also raised over PhP 500,000 for scholarships, reflecting her enduring support for education.
