On March 16, 2023, the Consortium of Asia-Pacific Universities (CAPEU) held its Board of Directors’ Meeting and 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Tanjong Malim, Malaysia. PNU was represented by President Bert J. Tuga. He was accompanied by Dr. Elvira V. Chua, Executive Director & Provost of PNU Mindanao and Dr. Leticia N. Aquino, Executive Director & Provost of PNU North Luzon.
During the meeting and general assembly, CAPEU Secretariat and officers presented the status report for the period 2020-2022 which includes the previous events and collaborations during the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial report of the consortium. Future plans for CAPEU and strategies to strengthen the consortium were also discussed.
Moreover, the members elected the new Executive Board of CAPEU. PNU has been elected as Secretary. PNU has been serving as a member of the Board of Directors since 2015 and its acceptance of this new leadership role signifies its continuing commitment to the Consortium. The CAPEU meetings were hosted by Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris.
