
The Philippine Normal University (PNU) welcomed the Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) for a benchmarking activity last September 7, 2022. The main goal of the benchmarking activity was to introduce PNU’s best practices, including the graduate school’s structure, goals, and objectives, including the clustering of the graduate programs and verticalization of undergraduate and graduate programs of PNU.

Dr. Maria Teresa L. Manicio of the Faculty of Arts and Letters (FAL) and Dr. Marilyn U. Balagtas, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research (CGSTER) discussed the pedagogies and teaching strategies of the undergraduate level as well as the Outcomes-Based Graduate Teacher Education Curriculum (OBGTEC) of PNU. Prof. Lovely Airein D. Albania, Deputy Dean of the College of Flexible Learning and ePNU (CFlex) shared their strategies in ePNU and how PNU responded to the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic to teaching and learning.

BiPSU President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr. was joined by Dr. Erwin G. Salvetierra, VP for Student and External Affairs; Dr. Marianne Agnes T. Mendza, VP for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services; Dr. Susan S. Bentor, VP for Academic and External Affairs; Mr. Ralph Arvic T. Arcenal, University and Board Secretary, and other university officials, faculty, and staff.
