BANGKOK, THAILAND – The Association of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network (AsTEN) held its 5th Meeting of Presidents on November 7, 2016 in Bangkok. The members of the AsTEN discussed significant agenda such as the preparation for the accreditation of the network in the ASEAN, the establishment of the country networks, and the future direction and expansion of AsTEN.

After the meeting, a workshop was facilitated to revisit the accomplishments of the network for the last two years and to plan for the next initiatives and collaborations. Aside from targeting the accreditation in the ASEAN, future endeavours of the network include international seminars and conferences, faculty and student exchange programs, and the development of the ASEAN Teacher Qualification Framework.

The meeting was hosted by the Faculty of Education of Kasetsart University led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pattamavadi Lehmongkol.
