2024 PASUC-NCAF draws to a close, host region takes home 3rd place overall

After three days of various culture and the arts-related competitions, PNU and the City of Manila wrapped up the 2024 PASUC National Culture and the Arts Festival through a brief closing program held on April 25, 2024 at the PNU Quadrangle.
President Tuga Graces City College of Calapan’s Education Summit
During a two-day event, Dr. Bert J. Tuga, PNU President, shared his expertise and experiences as resource speaker during the Education Summit of the City College of Calapan (CCC), Mindoro Oriental, held on April 11-12, 2024. The summit centered around the theme “Addressing Innovation, Implementations, and Educational Change: An Approach to Catch-Up and Produce Impactful Educational Outcomes.”
New NUSG Officers take oath during student leaders’ convention
The 6th Annual Convention of the Philippine Normal University National Union of Student Governments (PNU NUSG) reached its culmination as the newly elected governing body took their oath of office at the HRD Auditorium, PNU Manila, on April 12, 2024.
PNU takes part in SECRA Meeting and Colombo Conference
The Philippine Normal University (PNU) took part in the meeting of partners for the Strengthening University-Enterprise Collaboration for Resilient Communities in Asia (SECRA) Project held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on March 18 to 21, 2024. The said meeting endeavored to fortify partnerships between academic institutions and businesses towards improved community resilience in the face of natural disasters. PNU’s contingent was composed of its team leader, Dr. Darryl Roy T. Montebon, and team researchers, Dr. Arlyne C. Marasigan and Dr. Leah Amor S. Cortez.
April 2024 – Ricmar P. Aquino
Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino’s academic journey is marked by a strong commitment to excellence and continuous growth. After graduating from the Philippine Normal University North Luzon Campus in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, he embarked on a path of lifelong learning that culminated in a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the same institution in 2010. Alongside his academic pursuits, he obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 2004, showcasing his multidisciplinary approach to education. Furthermore, Dr. Aquino’s dedication to leadership development is evident in his completion of the global academic leadership program at the Asian Institute of Management in 2021-2022 and the Command and General Staff Course at the Command and General Staff College in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, in 2022.
