President Tuga Graces City College of Calapan’s Education Summit

calapan1During a two-day event, Dr. Bert J. Tuga, PNU President, shared his expertise and experiences as resource speaker during the Education Summit of the City College of Calapan (CCC), Mindoro Oriental, held on April 11-12, 2024. The summit centered around the theme “Addressing Innovation, Implementations, and Educational Change: An Approach to Catch-Up and Produce Impactful Educational Outcomes.”

PNU takes part in SECRA Meeting and Colombo Conference

secra1The Philippine Normal University (PNU) took part in the meeting of partners for the Strengthening University-Enterprise Collaboration for Resilient Communities in Asia (SECRA) Project held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on March 18 to 21, 2024. The said meeting endeavored to fortify partnerships between academic institutions and businesses towards improved community resilience in the face of natural disasters. PNU’s contingent was composed of its team leader, Dr. Darryl Roy T. Montebon, and team researchers, Dr. Arlyne C. Marasigan and Dr. Leah Amor S. Cortez.

APRIL 2024 ALUMNI TRAILBLAZER - DR. RICMAR P. AQUINO (2)Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino’s academic journey is marked by a strong commitment to excellence and continuous growth. After graduating from the Philippine Normal University North Luzon Campus in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, he embarked on a path of lifelong learning that culminated in a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the same institution in 2010. Alongside his academic pursuits, he obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 2004, showcasing his multidisciplinary approach to education. Furthermore, Dr. Aquino’s dedication to leadership development is evident in his completion of the global academic leadership program at the Asian Institute of Management in 2021-2022 and the Command and General Staff Course at the Command and General Staff College in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, in 2022.
