The Philippine Normal University hosted the opening program of the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst or DAAD) Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies (DIES) International Deans’ Course for Southeast Asia (IDC SEA) on February 17, 2020. This intensive training and workshop program is a collaboration of four universities: PNU, Centro Escolar University (CEU), the De La Salle University (DLSU), and University of San Carlos (USC). The participants and guests were welcomed by PNU President Dr. Bert J. Tuga, CEU President Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Padolina, and DLSU Chancellor Bro. Bernard S. Oca, FSC. Also present to give their special messages were Her Excellency Ms. Anke Reiffenstuel, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Peter Mayer, IDC Academic Director, and Dr. Maria Flordeliza L. Anastacio, DIES IDC SEA Regional Mentor.
