Nixon S. Balandra, a Mathematics major from PNU Visayas topped the secondary level of the August 2014 Licensure Examination for Teachers  with  90.20% score.

With the upcoming Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) integration in 2015, the Philippine Normal University has successfully conducted the ASEAN Teacher Education Conference on September 18-19, 2014 at Traders Hotel, Metro Manila, Philippines. Around 200 participants from different educational institutions from 14 countries have participated in the said conference.

Filipino Delegates representing local governments, academia and the media joined with the Tennessee Renewable Energy and Economic Development Council (TREEDC) members in an International conference which showcased a tour of renewable energy facilities and a sharing of best practices on October 10-17, 2014.
