The University hosted the glittering grand opening and closing ceremonies of the 5th National Literary and Cultural Festival of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC). The opening was held on December 12, the closing on December 14.

The University is all set to host the 25th edition of the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association of the National Capital Region in January 2013.

Claiming the enviable honor as the oldest existing student publication in the country, The TORCH Publication will mark its centenary with a book launching at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on December 12, 2012.
