The PNU Rondalla is a development of Music 6 class- Organizing and Training of a Rondalla, a matter in the curriculum of the music chief ship. Officially, the PNU Rondalla was recognized as one of the performing groups of the Philippine Normal University in October 2001. However the group has been performing in many of the University’s major activities like the Christmas programs, Torchlight Ceremonies, Foundation Day Celebrations, etc. and other programs outside the University before it was officially recognized. The Rondalla members were granted free tuition fees. The members were composed of music majors and students from the other areas of specialization.
Professor Pacita M. Narzo is the trainer-conductor of the PNU Rondalla. Out of the desire to preserve, develop, propagate and transmit to the next generation the beauty of the music God has given to our forefathers, PNU Rondalla was formed.
To the date, the PNU Rondalla has been giving its annual concert, Lecture-concerts, and musical rendition to the PNU community and outside fulfilling its mission.
