Graduate Admission Requirements

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS for GRADUATE COLLEGE ADMISSION TEST (GCAT)

Applicants are required to submit the following:

  1. Transcript of Records (TOR) of Bachelor's or MA Degree (Original and Photocopy) with computed Grade Point Average (GPA) of 85%/2.0/ B or better for Masters Applicants and 90%/1.75/ B+ or better for Doctorate Applicants
  2. 18 units of Education (Certificate in Teaching Program) for Non- Education Graduate
  3. Two copies of 1"x1" recent colored picture
  4. Certification of at least two years teaching experience
  5. P400 for the entrance examination fee to be paid to the University Cashier

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE GRADUATE PROGRAM

  1. Original Transcript of Records (TOR) of Bachelors or MA Degree. Remarks on the TOR should be either "Granted Honorable Dismissal" or "Copy for PNU"
  2. A photocopy of the Marriage Contract if TOR bears maiden name

COURSE REQUIREMENTS FOR MASTERS DEGREE

  1. Core Courses (9 units) These are Professional Education subjects which include:
    • Philosophy of Education,
    • Educational Statistics, and
    • Research and Scientific Writing

  2. Specialization Courses (27 units) These are required and elective courses on the philosophy, theories, and practices with respect to a specific discipline.

  3. Special Project (4 units) / Thesis (6 units)

COURSE REQUIREMENTS FOR Ph.D

  1. Core Courses (9-15 units) These are Professional Education subjects

  2. Specialization Courses(27-33 units) These are required and elective courses on the philosophy, theories, and practices with respect to a specific discipline.

  3. Dissertation (12 units)
