The lists are also circulated in the various library sections for informing the students of new library materials. The library cataloger takes charge of this service. Library Orientation for College Freshmen The library orientation is usually rendered during the first month of the first semester to college freshmen. Basic information about the library rules, sections, facilities, collections, personnel and services are shared to the new students. The orientation is held in several sessions at the Audio-Visual Theater or Multimedia Center. The following forms of reference service are rendered by the librarians:
Referral Service This service is rendered to PNU faculty and students who may want to use the resources of other institutional libraries on a specified time. A PNU researcher is provided with a referral letter issued by the Chief Librarian through the Circulation Section. Only bonafide faculty and students can avail of the referral service.
Students from other schools as well as researchers from other institutions are allowed to use the library materials upon submission of the following to the Circulation Section In-charge.
Reserve Book Service Reserve books are library books assigned by the faculty as required reading materials for their classes.
