GRADUATE ADMISSION POLICIES/PROCESS

The PNU Office of Admissions is committed for the enhancement of the teachers in the country by implementing vigorously the selective, recruitment, admission as well as the retention / dismissal policies in both undergraduate and graduate levels to get the best available talents for teacher education.

Application for Graduate College Admission Test (GCAT)

Admission Requirements:

  1. A copy of the transcript of records of undergraduate course or MA. It should be original with a college dry seal and a Special Order of graduation if a student graduated from a private institution. Photocopies may be accepted if properly authenticated.

    Remarks on the Transcript of Records should be either “GRANTED HONORABLE DISMISSAL” or “COPY FOR PNU”.

    There should be no other remarks, e.g., “FOR EMPLOYMENT PURPOSES” or “FOR REFERENCE ONLY.”

  2. 18 units of Education (Certificate in Teaching Program)for those Non-Education Graduate is required.
  3. Two years teaching experience.
  4. A student whose transcript of records bears her maiden name should submit a photocopy of the marriage contract.
  5. P350.00 for the entrance examination fee.

M.A., M.A.T. and GRADUATE DIPLOMA

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with a grade point average of 2.0 or B, 85% or better.
  • Pass the GCAT (Graduate College Admission Test) and the interview conducted by the department chair.
  • Other qualifications a department may require for a particular specialization.

DOCTORAL PROGRAMS

  • An M.A. degree with a grade point average of 1.75 or B+, 90% or better.
  • Pass the GCAT (Graduate College Admission Test) and the interview conducted by the department chair.
  • Other qualifications a department may require for a particular specialization.
