EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (DECE)
The Department of Early Childhood Education is committed to provide special pre-service instruction and experiences to prospective early childhood educators and in-service training to preschool teachers and administrators.
ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (DEE)
The Department of Elementary Education aims to develop elementary education teachers and specialists by providing advance academic knowledge and pedagogical competencies to teach different elementary school subjects and positive attitude and values of a dedicated, motivated and morally upright teacher.
ADVANCE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (DAPD)
The Department of Advance Professional Development provides the necessary professional training for AB/BS graduates who have decided to pursue a career in teaching. It offers a set of courses equivalent to those offered to the under graduate education students. These courses provide them with the basic knowledge, theories, principles, skills, values, and training as required by the teaching profession.
SPECIAL EDUCATION(SpED)
The Department of Special Education strives to provide specialized training for both experienced and beginning teachers for the visually disabled, the auditory disabled, the intellectually disabled and the mentally gifted.
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION (DCT)
The Department of Professional Education aims to promote and facilitate the development of professional teachers who are nation builders, upright, competent, evolutionary and dedicated by providing adequate theoretical instruction and relevant practical experiences in establishing a strong background concerning psychological, sociological, and philosophical bases of education and of the allied courses.
COLLEGE TEACHING (DCT)
The Department of College Teaching is a revised curriculum of the 1996 MA in Education with specialization in College Teaching, mainly to assist the higher institutions of learning in the technical aspects of instruction and in facilitating the learning of late adolescents and early adults.
NON-FORMAL EDUCATION (DNFE)
The Department of Non Formal Education is tasked to enhance and strengthen the capabilities and competencies of individuals in raising the quality of lives of families in the communities and nation. Its main concern is the development of efficient and effective educational and community leaders who will be responsible in the education of productive and socially-competent citizen-workers. The department’s graduates are developed to assist in the promotion of health, emotional, social, mental and economic stability of individuals and families by means of research, development, instruction, and technical assistance through formal, informal, and non-formal education.
STUDENT TEACHING (DST)
The Department of Student Teaching aims to provide the necessary professional laboratory situations and field experiences both on and off-campus and help students of education transmit theory into practice as they develop the desired teaching competencies and values in their fields of specialization.
CENTER FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING (CTL)
The Center for Teaching and Learning aims to promote and facilitate the development of professional teachers who are nation builders, upright, competent evolutionary and dedicated by creating meaning teaching-learning environment and providing actual pedagogical, research and community experiences to enable prospective teachers to translate theory into practice.
