COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

The College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) services the teacher education in BEED and BSED with some General Education Courses Requirements in the Arts & Social Sciences. It takes care of Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSed) degrees, with various specialization programs. It also offers BS degree in Psychology with streams in Educational Psychology and Guidance and Counseling. All the BSed degrees programs are dedicated to excellence in teacher education in the arts and social sciences. Attempts to meet the demands of global and national development are embodied in the revised curriculum programs of the departments. With the full implementation of the University Verticalized Scheme, the CASS now offers , M.A Ed graduate programs; with graduate diploma specialization program. Effective the first semester school year 2006-2007, the Ph.D. in Guidance and Counseling will be offered. These programs offered by the college are made more relevant in an effort to situate and contextualize these developments. The courses are reviewed and revised to provide students with the necessary competencies (Knowledge, skills, attitudes and values) in achieving excellence in the chosen field.
