PEACE AND HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION
The Center for Peace and Human Rights Education envisions social transformation founded on peace, gender and human rights values and principles through education reform and community building. It engages in transformative education programs, undertakes research oriented activities that promote education reform and community building, and participates in local, national and global advocacy efforts thus establishing a strong network and linkage with relevant national and international institutions and organizations. The center also functions as a resource center for instructional and research materials related to peace, gender, human rights and related fields, and as an advocacy group promoting peace, gender and human rights principles.

The College of Arts and Social Sciences Research Unit aims to build and strengthen the research culture of the College by generating a passion for new knowledge and insights of pivotal importance to teacher education, the arts and social sciences.
