MANILA – The PNU Faculty of Arts and Languages (FAL), as part of the University’s week-long celebration of its 114th Foundation, will stage Severino Montano’s “The Love of Leonor Rivera” in September. It is a three-act play about Leonor Rivera’s undying love for the country’s National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal and how she persistently waited for Rizal to come back from Europe. It was first staged at the Arena Theater of PNU in 1952.
The Society for the Advancement of Physics Education- PNU held Fusion 2015 on July 22, 2015 at the Alumni Relations Hall. This was the first General Assembly of the organization for the A.Y. 2015-16. The event was attended by the Physics majors and some of the Physics professors in the whole university wearing their neon/ pastel casual attires. According to Ms. Ruthie Eneria, President of SAPE, the title of the event indicated the primary objective of the assembly which is to promote unity and camaraderie in order to build a stronger bond among the Physics majors.
The 25th year anniversary celebration of Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral ng Kasaysayan (SAMAKA) has started and first of its many activities was the memorabilia exhibit with the theme “KALAP: Kasaysayan Landas sa Pagkakakilanlan.” It opened on July 15 at the Edilberto P. Dagot Hall. The exhibit displayed the prestige, development, and history of the Samahan since 1990.
